Trigger 2.3 released

Category: Rory Primrose @ 09:34

New version of Trigger has been released.

There is a lot that comes with this latest release for your desktop pleasure. Here is the deal:
- New icons for Trigger and Trigger skin files. Thanks goes out to Scrow for the use of his icons.
- You can now set whether you want ToolTips displayed in Trigger. Useful if you are familiar with a skin and don't want the annoying ToolTips being displayed.
- Opening a Trigger skin file (files with the tsz file extension) will now run Trigger with the specified skin if Trigger isn't already running, or change the skin of Trigger while it is running.
- Included default image properties in the Options window. You can now decide what colors and options should be set when a new image is added to Trigger.
- Enhanced skinning engine. Image details, image preview and current Mood name skin components can now all be set as not visible as part of the skin definition. This gives more flexibility to skinners in the look that they want, and better performance where those components are not used.
- Changed skin transparency implementation. Use -1 in the skin definition file to dynamically use the top left pixel of the main skin image as the transparent color. This is the recommended way of setting a transparent color to use in skins.
- Changed the way the desktop is changed to suit the new image properties. Only the properties of the desktop that need to be changed are now actually changed. This should reduce the flicker on the desktop as an image is changed.
- Attempted to make Trigger more stable in Windows 98.
